A Fantastic break at Rainbow Lodge

We stayed in Rainbow Lodge at Glengoulandie from 29th December to the 3rd January. After a tough year, we needed rest and relaxation and it was mission accomplished to say the least! Russell and Sandy made us feel most welcome, and were very keen to make sure we got the most from our stay. The lodge is situated on the edge of a loch in the most picturesque of surroundings, with a deer park opposite, nestled at the foot of Schiehallion. The lodge itself is superb, with a well-equipped kitchen, 3 large bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms and multi-media entertainment. The veranda sits on the edge of the loch and provides a superb location for taking in the scenery, studying the wildfowl on the loch, or the deer on the slopes of the far shore! While the lodge is conveniently situated for travel around Perthshire, we were happy just to explore the area and natural beauty around the lodge, this was our second visit to Glengoulandie, and we've already booked up for our third, heartily recommended!

Fantastic stay again

Just had a fantastic 3 night stay at the fabulous Rainbow Lodge with our friends. The lodge is as described and more. So comfortable, beautiful furnishings and cosy. It is so clean and very well maintained with everything you could possibly need. The peace and quiet of the location is great. We were a party of 2 couples and had so much space. Russell and Sandy are so helpful and knowledgeable about the local area and recommended Errichel House for a meal on the Saturday which didn't disappoint. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Luxury by the Loch side

A wonderfully comfortable and cosy lodge right on the water's edge. Watch the swans and ducks as you relax. The area is perfect for photography of the autumn colours especially the Schiehallion Road and Glen Lyon. Five of us had a great stay with three en-suite bedrooms and plenty space to cook and enjoy our meals as well as the lounge seating. A great holiday and we hope to return.

An oasis of comfort and tranquillity

The lodge is an ideal location if you are seeking somewhere peaceful and relaxing in a natural surrounding but within a short drive of the many sights and attractions of Perthshire and Tayside. We had elderly folks with limited mobility in our party and the layout of the lodge, with all rooms easily accessible on one floor and all bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms was perfect for our needs. The lodge is fully equipped and furnished to a very high standard. They were spotlessly clean and well maintained. Russell and Sandy are very helpful and keen to ensure guests have a perfect stay. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay at Eagle Lodge

We have had a fantastic stay at Eagle Lodge. Thank you so much Russell and Sandy for a superb, well thought out lodge. There is everything you could possibly need and more. We have stayed in Rainbow Lodge before which is beautiful and Eagle Lodge is equally gorgeous and so comfortable. We had some lovely walks on this stay and the weather helped a lot. We took a walk on Dun Coillich Community Land just up the road which gave us some amazing views of the countryside, the Aberfeldy to Grandtully path with lunch at The Inn on the Tay before returning was good allowing us some good sightings of the kayakers on the river. The circular walk round Loch Faskally was beautiful on a cold day. We had a lovely walk along the riverside at Kenmore despite the windy day. We also went to Killin for a walk along the old railway line with stunning views of Loch Tay and many pictures taken of the Falls of Dochart. It was always a delight to return to the cosiness and comfort of Eagle Lodge to rest the tired feet. New Years Eve was lovely and quiet, just what we needed after a busy Christmas period. We had a superb meal at Errichel and would thoroughly recommend this restaurant, thank you Russell for the original recommendation. The food was delicious and service excellent. Sandy and Russell, you have created perfect havens here with your lodges and I didn't want to leave. This is definately one of my 'Happy Places' and I can't wait to return. Thank you so much

Wonderful break at Dragonfly Lodge

We stayed here for a wonderful 3 nights with our daughter and her grandparents. It was a wonderful break. Beautiful location and the Lodge is very well appointed with everything we needed. Easy access to Aberfeldy and Kenmore with great walks in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend without hesitation and we are looking forward to our return to Dragonfly Lodge. Thank you very much Russell for letting us stay and giving us a great holiday experience.

Faultless return

It's very rare if not impossible when we return somewhere on holiday to be impressed on the second visit. Glengoulandie lodges are the only exception we have ever found to this rule. We stayed in eagle lodge and it was simply fantastic. Incredibly clean and equally well appointed by Russell and Sandy who take huge pride in what they offer. There is so much to see and do around the area you'll never struggle to find an attraction or activity to suit any age group. The best part is knowing you will return to the lodge and be able to take in the views and enjoy the wildlife right on your doorstep. Honestly some days you don't want to leave which says it all really. We are already booked for a 3rd visit as Perthshire and Glengoulandie lodges have become our go to place for family holidays.

Luxury Lodge on the Water's Edge

Five photographers spent two glorious weeks in Rainbow Lodge with its three ensuite bedrooms and comfortable lounge/kitchen diner. The autumn colours were superb and the warm lodge welcomed us back each evening. We enjoyed cooking for ourselves and felt no need to traipse out to restaurants when everything w needed was right there in the lodge. The location is perfect - we visited Glen Lyon, Rannoch Station, Loch Tummel and even as far as Spittal of Glenshee on one day for the snow covered mountains. The Sheihallion Road to Kinloch Rannoch is close by and is a magnet for landscape photographers with great opportunities for images whatever the weather. The variety of weather conditions in October/November drew us to those viewpoints time and again. Two weeks flew by and the lodge was so comfortable that we really didn't want to leave. We relaxed so completely and all of us can't wait to return. Thank you Russell and Sandy for your warm welcome.

Perfect peaceful Highland accommodation

Spent a lovely relaxing and peaceful week at Glengoulandie Eagle Lodge. Amazing location overlooking a Lochan with numerous wild birds, a deer farm on the opposite side and lovely scenery towards the mountains. The lodge was immaculate, lovely decor, and everything you needed for a self catering week, including lovely log burner. We did plenty of walks and exploring around the area and the scenery in Autumn was spectacular. All major attractions are within easy reach of the lodge and there is a well stocked supermarket in Aberfeldy. One recommendation would be to book tickets for the Enchanted Forest in Pitlochry as we have heard it is spectacular but unfortunately was sold out. Russell and Sandy were the perfect hosts and we are already looking forward to our next stay.

A wonderful home away from home

We had a wonderful three night trip. A beautiful and peaceful location with easy access to Aberfeldy. The lodge is lovely with lots of little extras that make it really special and the pack of goodies on arrival makes it really welcoming. I can't recommend it highly enough.
