Fantastic place, owners and holiday!

Russell and Sandy have an absolutely gorgeous cabin on the front of the waters in Glengoulandie. It is a gorgeous slice of heaven where you can properly escape the stress in style. The cabin is fitted with everything you could need, and has ample space for 6 people to comfortably stay. I was there with my family to celebrate my father's 60th and we had the best time. I would love to go back again (I think my parents probably will be there again sooner than me!). Loved it.

Fantastic and Beautiful Lodge and Location

We stayed in Rainbow Lodge with our Son, his partner and my sister in May. We were blown away on arrival with the absolutely beautiful setting of these lodges and knew almost immediately we were going to enjoy our stay. Our lodge was immaculate inside and out and the owners had clearly thought of everything and anything you could want during your stay. So peaceful and quiet and yet only a short drive away from Aberfeldy, Kenmore etc. We will 100% be returning here and perhaps even before the year is out! Thanks to our hosts Russell and Sandy for sharing this amazing property with us!

Lovely cozy lodge

Really nice lodge in a beautiful spot, right on the water and with views of the hills. The lodge was lovely and warm, has plenty of space for 6, wood burner, nice comfy sofas, en-suites in all bedrooms (a rare treat), comfy beds, kitchen has everything you need. Great location for Pitlochry, Aberfeldy, Glen Lyon, Falls of Acharn etc.

Fabulous Lodge

Just back from an excellent holiday in Eagle Lodge. The lodge and facilities were first class the view were to die for including the wild life and herd of deer on the hillside. Seems to be lots to do in the area although we were there out of season. Russell and Sandie were very helpful and accommodating keeping us informed of the weather conditions nothing seemed to be a problem. Would thoroughly recommend and would not hesitate to return.

Wonderful

Stayed at Glengoulandie Lodges for my sisters 60th birthday. We all had a brilliant time. The scenery is amazing when you're looking out to the Waterfront. Russell made us feel so welcome when we arrived and he was on hand if there were any problems with the Lodge (which there weren't) We would definitely recommend the lodges for a nice quiet weekend away.

Amazing getaway

We have just arrived back to Staffordshire from yet another out of the world getaway, where we all have recharged our batteries ready for the mayhem of the festive season. Eagle Lodge ticked all the boxes and more. Russell and Sandy insure that everything is available for comfortable break. We certainly miss waking up and seen the wildlife each morning. Looking forward to our next break in March 2024. Keep up the hard work Russell & Sandy, we looking forward to seeing you again in 2024.

Rainbow Lodge Absolute Gem

Would highly recommend this place. It’s an absolute gem, immaculate and so very comfortable. We appreciated the extra touches too - the welcome email and the ‘starter’ food pack. Also the attention to detail in the furnishings, the wall art, the placemats and coasters all with a Scottish flavour. The views and wildlife watching (especially the deer) made our stay special. Such a lovely part of Scotland. So peaceful yet a short drive from shops and restaurants. The Three Lemons in Aberfeldy, The Waterfront at Kenmore and The Shutters coffee shop in Killin were our favourites. Russell & Sandy you have been SO helpful before and during our visit. We have really appreciated this. Thank you. We had a great time at your beautiful lodge. We will be back!

Fantastic Family Holiday at Eagle Lodge

Eagle Lodge Glengoulandie The Location: The photos/description don’t lie! This lodge is in an idyllic setting on the waterfront of a small lochan amidst hills and mountains and off a quiet road. It is one of a small cluster of lodges around the loch, so well positioned for privacy that we rarely saw or heard guests in neighbouring lodges. The lodge decking was right on the waterfront with views of the hills, sky, herd of deer and all the wild birds and water fowl on the loch. So quiet peaceful and private! With no light pollution, the decking was great for stargazing on a clear night! Our sons spotted a few shooting stars! On up the road there is a quiet campsite with cafe/shop if you need essential provisions by foot or Aberfeldy was around a 15-20 minute drive away. The lodge itself: Eagle lodge was everything we imagined in a log cabin retreat for a family or group of friends. It was a modern large spacious timber lodge. Floor to ceiling windows show off the fantastic loch and mountain view - especially lovely to wake up to in the morning looking out from bed in the master bedroom - watching the little birds! The furnishings throughout were tasteful and fitted with the lodge/highland setting. The 3 bedrooms had very comfortable beds and useful lighting. Each bedroom either had its own ensuite or access to the big bathroom. As others have said each bedroom is very private from the others in the lodge. The kitchen was extremely well equipped for self catering. We ate in most evenings and really if you want to cook everything you need is there! The large hallway was great for hanging coats and storing walking boots etc We found the temperature in the lodge to be just perfect for us! Want to give a mention to the helpful box of ordinance survey walking maps and Scotland guides/Walking guides provided by the owners. This covers all you are likely to need if planning to hike! A shout out for the small leaflet guide to the Community Land around Dun Coillich ( the mountain by the lodge). This details the walks from the lodge that aren’t that obvious on main maps. We did a lovely loop walk using this and found it to be well way-marked. So there is a lot to be reached without jumping in the car! We found there was lots to explore in the surrounding area and visited Glen Lyon, Ossians Hall and Cave plus waterfalls, Queens View ( visitors centre closed ) Aberfeldy and Pitlochry. Our highlight was climbing Schiehallion as a family ( older teenagers) - a fairly strenuous climb despite its billing as “ the easiest Munro”. Weather changed quickly at summit so careful clothing preparation advised! There is also an accessible circular route at its foot! Our boys wanted to do some wild swimming and we found a pool by some waterfalls on the road from Bridge of Balgie ( Glen Lyon) to Ben Lawers Dam - great experience! All in all a fantastic holiday in a 5 star lodge where the owners Russell and Sandy had thought of everything! Even email you info on the area and things to do prior to your arrival! Definitely want to return!

Magical Highland Hideaway

Just home from a fabulous week in the Highlands staying in the Rainbow Lodge in Glengoulandie on the Waterfront. 5 star accommodation with a spectacular view day and into night, swans, cygnets, ducks and ducklings on the doorstep. Everything you could need is there. We walked 3 of 8 walks from a brochure of the locality and enjoyed all of them. Super clean and well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a cosy living area. Lots to do locally, book the Distillery tour in Aberfeldy before you arrive!

Delighted we found this lodge

Eagle lodge sits directly on the edge of a lochan. The French doors & windows to the decking flood the living space with natural light. Bird life is abundant and varied. The lodge is cleaned to a very high standard and the furniture and fittings are of excellent quality. If you want a place to relax and recharge, visit the lodge! Aberfeldy is just a few miles away, with a variety of shops and cafes. We drove to Kinloch Rannoch and had coffee and Border tart in the Riverside café. Highland Safaris is another interesting visit. The lodge is an very good base to plan walks - short or long. We have had 3 stays at the lodge and plan many more.

Amazing 5 Stars

Well where start with the amazing Eagle Lodge, upon arrival the communication was outstanding. The layout of the lodge was perfect, the views that set the backdrop were out of this world. The Manager of the site was really friendly and helpful. Definitely booking again for later this year and next Easter. Keep up the good work Russell & Sandy

Eagle and Rainbow Lodges Glengoulandie on the waterfront

I booked the above two Lodges for the 20th to the 24th March 2023 for a family break away. The Lodges are definitely 5 star accommodations. The Kitchens are very well equipped and are furnished to a high standard. They are very warm, bright and comfortable. The showers are lovely and warm and the beds are very comfortable. All of the rooms are spacious. The Lodges are on the side of a Lochan With lovely views of the hills opposite where the deer feed. There are swans and various bird life on the water to watch. The setting is beautiful. We had an amazing stay, so relaxing and peaceful. I would recommend these lodges to anyone who needs to get away for relaxing break. Guest Review

"I cannot recommend Glengoulandie Lodges On The Waterfront highly enough. The Lodge we stayed in was phenomenal and is the perfect location situated in the heart of the beautiful rural highlands. Everything about the lodge is 5-star and finished to a very high standard with fantastic panoramic views. The location is ideal for getting around Scotland from Aberdeen to Loch Lomond, Arrochar, Glencoe, Fort William, and Ben Nevis. A huge mention should go to Russell and Sandy who made the whole experience very easy, helpful, enjoyable, and memorable from initial booking to final departure - including a very much appreciated welcome pack on arrival. The perfect holiday - highly recommended, and will definitely be back again."
